- Answer I wanted to use it outside as well. The instructions state "indoor use only". Thought I would set it in a window facing outdoors, but it can not work through glass.

- Answer Yes, it can be used in your bedroom. When you set it up it can be program how bright that you want your lights to be at certain times of the as well as how long you want the lights to stay on when no motion is detected.

- Answer Yes. You can replace the batteries in this unit once they are due for a change. Takes AAA's.

QuestionIs it possible for a single Hue bulb to be controlled by more than one motion sensor. I want the light turned on when someone enters the basement from either of two entries.The doors are not within site of each other so one sensor won't work.

QuestionDoes the motion sensor detect other light sources already present? Meaning, if a room is already lighted through the windows, will it still turn on? My living room gets plenty of daylight, so I would only want the sensor to work after dusk.

- Answer Yes, this sensor is configurable to be sensitive to ambient light so that it will activate a light only when your chosen light level cut-off point is reached,

QuestionDo you need the hue if you have echo dot?

- Answer What do you mean? echo dot has it's only functionalities and can't control hue bulbs without hue hub. This product is only a motion sensor to automate even more the hue system by turning lights on when motion is detected. It is capable of measuring ambient light and only work when low light is detected. When you have the hue system: bulbs, hub, sensors and accessories, you can voice control it as part of the integration with echo dot, or apple home kit.

Questioni have a hallway light 1 -manual switch that controls 2 different light bulbs.. currently they have hue lights.. Does 1 sensor only connect or speak to 1 hue lights bulb or both lights bulbs

- Answer You have to have both lights in a group in the hue app for the sensor to activate both. Then pick the group on the sensor settings.

- Answer If you turn the lights off manually via the app (or something like Alexa), yes they'll turn back on as soon as motion is detected.

- Answer 1hr max before they go off without motion but every time you pass it's would reset the time so virtually yes as long as it's in a high traffic area like a living room. No button but you can get Flic or Logitech Pop to do what your trying to do.

- Answer Yes. I have a number of these in my home for various rooms and situations. One of them I is located in my basement stairway. It turns on multiple lights in (Hue) lights in the the basement when I open the door and begin to walk down the stairs. The Sensor (Accessory). Can be set for various lengths of time to allow sufficient time.

- Answer Yes, to my knowledge this can only be used with Hue system bulbs. A hub is required for this device to communicate.

- Answer I have them working with wemo switches. If you are using google home or Apple HomeKit or Samsung Smartthings, it can definitely work with anything that can connect to those

- Answer While I cannot answer for Alexa, I can say that it does not trigger a routine in Google Assistant...at least not yet. Although I still highly doubt you could with Alexa. I have only been able to control Hue Lights with this Sensor.

- Answer I highly doubt it since this is proprietary. It communicates to the bulbs via the bridge.

- Answer If simplisafe works with Alexa or apple home or google home then you should be able to sync the security system. But if your security system comes with a recommended way of using it then I’d stick with that
