“Can this trigger a routine in Alexa or will it only control Hue lights like the remote dimmer switch? I would like it to also turn on a light controlled by a TP-Link dimmer switch.”

While I cannot answer for Alexa, I can say that it does not trigger a routine in Google Assistant...at least not yet. Although I still highly doubt you could with Alexa. I have only been able to control Hue Lights with this Sensor.

If the dimmer switch is controlled by the Phillips hub and on the same network as Alexa (I believe), Alexa will recognize the dimmer as a device. I have the Phillips motion sensor and hub (no lights), and have a routine in Alexa to turn on a non-Phillips light with the motion sensor.

Yes it can control other items. I use it with google, HomeKit, and wemo
