There is no battery. It's powered by kinetic energy. Keep pressing the buttons over and over and then I would remove the accessory from the Hue app and reinstall.

From Hue: "The Hue Tap smart light switch is powered by kinetic energy, which means that when you press the light switch you generate sufficient energy to control your smart lights. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is not a battery in the device. It runs on kinetic energy created by tapping the buttons. It may be that it needs a reset. You can find a video for that on youtube.
