are theses bulbs good for outside use null

I don’t use any of my hue bulbs outside but with the electronics in the bulbs, I would think that moisture would get into them and ruin the bulbs. They aren’t sealed from the elements.

I have been told by sales rep for Best Buy that these bulbs are only for indoor use.

I have used my Hue Smart bulbs outside in my porch light fixtures for over a year and have had no problems.

They don't recommend it. I have one installed outside with no issues so far. They say the life expectancy is shorter when it's outside.

Yes - I've got one in the light fixture outside the front door and one in the post lamp. They've been there about a year now and I haven't had any issues.

The specs on the product page say indoor only.

Currently, HUE light bulbs are not rated for outdoor use. I have heard there is one in the works.

While I have never used them outside, I would think that they are not. Philips does have a pending line-up of bulbs dedicated for outside use.

Mine work great and I am in extreme heat here, never a problem.

Phillips suggest only using them indoors because the weather can affect them.
