• I struggled with this too until I saw a video somewhere. Use your thumb under the front of the blade to push upward.

• You just pop off the trimmer that works with all the attachments except the nose and another trimmer that is for small or precise cuts and pop on the nose trimmer. It takes less than 30 seconds to do this.
