• Hello! No, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 5000 (MG5750) does not require oiling for the life of the device.

• I would recommend to oil it every time you clean it. I clean my trimmer every weekend. Treat it like a precision piece of machine so it can last a long time. Just my 2 cents.
