How does the trimmer connect to the razor / null

Just pull off the razor blades and replace with trimmer

Both the trimmer and tri-head connect via port at the top. Both can be removed and put in just by pulling/pushing

Pull off the The entire shaver head and then snap on the trimmer

Full the razor head out and snap trimmer head back on

Hi! To attach the trimmer head of the Philips Norelco Shaver X5004/84, remove the whole shaving head by twisting it a little and pulling it from the handle. Once removed, click the attachment onto the handle.

turn shaving head counterclockwise to remove, insert trimmer, turn clockwise.

Pop off the shaver and snap on the trimmer

You must remove the cutter head and then snap the trimmer in place
