QuestionCan you turn the light on whenever you want? Like one of those lamps to help with Seasonal Affective Disorder? Or does it turn on strictly when the alarm is set to go off? (well, starts turning on 30 minutes before, yes, I get that)

QuestionLight does not begin to illuminate until a minute before the alarm goes off, from the lowest to the highest intensity within 1st minute. Light is set at 10. I have spent over an hour troubleshooting. An alarm clock should not be this difficult to config

- Answer Hi there, I would return the light. The light is supposed to turn on low 30 minutes before your alarm time and gradually increase in intensity until reaching the highest setting at your alarm time. You likely know this from the product description. :-) If the light isn’t doing that, it isn’t functioning properly and should be returned. Good luck!

- Answer It depends on the light setting - you can choose a variable setting from 1 to 10. It's quite bright at 10 and can light up an average size bedroom (like a table lamp).
