  • QuestionWhst is Xumo t Android capabilities?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I am a long term streamer and professional IT guy. There are two parts to this question. Xumo is new and and is being marketed by some certain cable companies as the hail mary to TV everthing -- it is not so much though., its good, but has some growth to go thru yet. At this point, its an average TV streamer and platform. There is a Xumo TV (kind of like Fire TV or Google TV OS that makes the TV run) and Xumo play (kind of like Pluto TV or Youtube that let you watch TV and internet content). This TV uses both to bring your a interface AND your streamer. In my opion, the Xumo os on this TV is ok and works fine. You will not have any problems with that, but I do like Google TV over Xumo for it overal additional cababilities and depth. The TV itself is great for a $200 TV. Buy it for the TV and not the interface. If your dont like the streamer portion of it, you can always buy a google TV streamer device or Roku from the big W (you know who for $20 more) and attach it to a HDMi input. The TV itself seams great, your splitting hairs at this price point. I doubt that you would see that much diffenerce in this one versus a $250 or $300 55 inch TV. It loks great and has decent options. I'm not into specs and gamut ratings and all that, to me, the picture looks great. after a couple days use, I have no reason to think it wont be arround for another 3 or 5 years. Do it ....

  • QuestionDoes this TV have an anti-glare type screen?

    Asked by DP.

    • Answer I do not see anywhere it talks about the screen having anti-glare most TV come with it. I can tell you I have mine in a bright Kitchen and it's not a problem with glare, I have lights over top of it and still not a big deal so my guess it has some anti glare. Off axis viewing is pretty good. Hope this helps you. Added pics to show day light glare with TV off and lighting glare and with TV on.

  • QuestionIs there a way to set this TV up so that when powering on, it only selects the HDMI input and does not display all of the streaming options? Asking for my 87 year old father who does not have the internet and gets confused on how to select the input.

    Asked by AB.

    • Answer To set up the Pioneer 55" Class LED 4K UHD Smart Xumo TV so that it automatically selects the HDMI input upon powering on, you can follow these steps: Access Settings > Select Inputs > Set Default Input: Find the setting that allows you to choose a default input source. Select the HDMI input you want to use as the default. >Disable Streaming Options > Save Settings. This setup should help your father easily access the TV without navigating through multiple options. If you need more detailed instructions or run into any issues, feel free to ask! - -Ed | Pioneer Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/brands/best-buy-brands/pcmcat1596746025285.c?id=pcmcat1596746025285
