QuestionDo you have to connect via USB to use Apple Play and Maps?

- Answer you can do it via USB and also wirelessly if you have the w4500nex or w4400nex. just remember on the initial setup you must pair your phone via bluetooth first then via wifi and make sure you have car play selected in the pioneer receiver settings, after that CarPlay will auto launch everytime you turn on your car.

- Answer Hi, I got the AVH4500NEX for $699 and added the 5 yrs warranty. Installation is easy which could be done by yourself. Important thing with the AVH4500NEX unit. If you have steering control buttons will have to get the AXXES Interface which is the best, as is autoprogramable with the car. This AVH unit brings the features of bypassing to watch videos at the same time you are driving (under own risk) with out any wiring, connect ebrake cable to the ground of the radio or the one of the car and you'll be able to use wireless android auto as well. The best feature of it is the wireless screen mirroring with full linked functionality to your phone. The unit is truly worth the $700.

- Answer Free doesn’t necessarily mean 100% free. The basic install is free if that is the offer, but if custom (whatever that means) is required, then there is extra. Also, don’t be shocked when you get there and find out you need more parts. It’s happened to me more than once.

- Answer It should. It fits a 2012 Toyota Hylander and a 2008 Tundra. I know this because I have it on both. You will need to order a dash kit, but you would need to do this with any head unit. It looks clean after installation.

- Answer The stereo has its own internal WiFi so the apps will work even if its not connected with USB - although the sound is slightly better when using the USB cord

- Answer Mounting the unit in your vehicle will depend on the vehicle you have. There are aftermarket dash kits available that are made specifically to integrate aftermarket head units (radios) to various vehicles. Some are very vehicle-specific, while others are more universal. You would have to determine if there is a kit for your vehicle. I'd recommend using Metra's Fit Guide (Google it) to see what is available for your vehicle. The backup camera, again, would vary depending on what you're looking for and the type of vehicle you have. Typically, you can get a reasonable license-plate-mounted backup camera for less than $100.

- Answer It looks like the answer is two. There are inputs for both rear camera and second camera. Check owners manual and installation manual for more info.

- Answer You will need need to ask your Best Buy representative if they install for free,most Best Buy’s do install for free if you buy a product from them.I would recommend not buying the product from them,their warranty policy suck. My experience with Best Buy and their installers is they are not very good,professional or knowledgeable.I learned the hard way,please don’t learn the way I did.Go to a pro audio shop even if you have to pay a little bit more. Don’t get me wrong I like Best Buy I buy products from them all the time, but their stereo installation process and warranties just don’t cut it.

- Answer Yes,the unit has a DVD player.However it will not work while you are driving.Federal Regs. I was told you can get the by-pass to install yourself.Most pro installers will not do it. Also these are good and very cool units but glitchy and prone to disconnect while wireless due to traffic signals. Also don’t have Best Buy install it.They don’t know what they are doing.This is my unfortunate experience.

- Answer This will fit any double din car stereo system,must be double din. Be wary of Best Buy as far as car stereo systems,they don’t know if they’re doing a lot of times.Take my word for it.

- Answer If your truck is double din it will fit. Just realize that these units are glitchy through wireless they’ll cut out from traffic signals and other strong signals on the road. My unit was bad from the start and Best Buy kept saying it was my phone for almost a year until the factory condemned it.it’s probably a good unit just beware. Take my advice please,do not have Best Buy install this and do not go to Best Buy to purchase this,go to an pro audio store.
