I have been running 4, 4 ohm speakers, it's not good for the unit, it will run warm, I put 2 desk fans blowing through it, it increases the power when you drop the ohms, but much lower than 4 might not be wise, I only knew this because I spent 20+ years designing car audio, just remember to KEEP IT COOL and dust free. HEHE my car amps run at 2 ohms, my sub amp at .5 to1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Minimum Impedance for this receiver is 6 ohms so I do not recommend using 4 ohm speakers. You might want to look at the Sony STRDH550 as it's rated for 4 ohms.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. I'm using speakers from an old home theatre system and its working right now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you could but you will not be able to take advantage of the full quality of this receiver the higher the ohm the better. Also you may have to keep the volume low with 4 ohm for them to sound good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure... just read your manual "online" and follow the instructions on how to set up the speakers. It will describe how to set the OHMS to 4 OHMS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That should be no problem. I tried Definitive Technology 4-8ohm rated speakers.
