Please check out your manual about your Mac and iPhone jacks. What's a model number for both of them? And what's a model number on your Max with VOIP? Those information may not help at all unless you understanding about the size and ring(s) or connectors of the jack. You may want to consider the Voyager Legend UC. It is a Bluetooth headset that will work with your iPhone and will come with a USB Bluetooth adapter to work with VOIP on your Mac.
