QuestionWould these work in a Lenovo G70-80? I want to increase my RAM for gaming purposes and right now the laptop has 2 4GB sticks in it. If I replace them with the 2 8GB sticks, will it use all of it or will I just be wasting money?

- Answer Hello, While your machine does indeed accept 1600MHz modules, this is not the correct part. Your machine requires low voltage (LV, 1.35V) memory. You can upgrade to 16GB max of DDR3L 1600MHz memory. As you are running a 64bit operating system the computer will utilize all of the memory. PNY Brand Champion

- Answer Hello, It is difficult to say if these will work as we are having difficultly finding this particular model online. I would suggest that you reach out to Asus and see if you can obtain memory upgrade information from their support. Make sure to ask them what voltage memory (low voltage vs standard voltage) the PC can use as well. PNY Brand Champion

- Answer Hello, To answer your question, no this is not the correct type for your machine. Your computer only accepts LV (low voltage 1.35V) memory. HP does not provide specifications for the max expand-ability for this model so you may want to reach out to them and ask prior to making your purchase. PNY Brand Champion

- Answer Hello, It is difficult to say as there are multiple versions of the L840 and some processors accept 1333MHz while others accept 1600MHz. - Answer Hello, Here are the specifications for the memory directly from HP: DDR3 SDRAM (1600 MHz) or DDR3/3L SDRAM (1600 MHz)6 Two slots supporting dual channel memory 2048/4096 MB SODIMMs, up to 6144 MB total In other words, no this product will not work for you. You can only use 2GB and 4GB DDR3 or DDR3L memory modules and cannot exceed 6GB total. PNY Brand Champion

- Answer As long as it says DDR3L you shouldn't have a problem with it. Ram is either 1.5 or 1.35. Some ram is backwards comparable to each.
