From what I could find on Amazon, it looks like the Elite X advertises 185mb/s read speed, while the Turbo advertises 115mb/s read speed, making the Elite X series about 60% faster at reading files than the Turbo series. Reviewers have noted that both models struggle with write speeds, though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried the Turbo but did consider it. The Elite was recommended over the Turbo. It was fast and worked for me. I'm quite pleased.

Truthfully speaking, the only reason I have the Elite, is because for some reason when I viewed it on the website it appeared to be the first flash drive I'd ever seen with a cover on the end of it. (You know something to shield the portion you actually stick into your computer, as that opening is susceptible to dust, etc ) So I ordered it and was wrong. There really is no comparison. Turbo 3.0 is speed at its finest, the other, although it's called Elite 3.0, it's capability suggest it's Elite 2.0. By the way, I hope you will be using them with 3.0 ports. If you only have 2.0, well you will not benefit from any 3.0. But that can be rectified by either purchasing a 3.0 capable laptop or desktop. If your using a laptop, purchase a laptop cooler that's 3.0. (the thing you sit your laptop on that has a built in fan to keep your laptop from getting too hot). I have one of those too, and they're great. I'm sure Bestbuy will be much obliged to sell you either or both. That's where i got both of mine. Hope that helps.

While not as fast on paper, in real world use, it is MUCH faster than either PNY and comes with SanDisk reliability. I used the PNY Elite and while it tests well, I found it to be painfully slow. Took over ten minutes to boot my MacBook from a clone of my HD while the SanDisk Ultra booted in 75 seconds via USB 3.0. Returned my PNY and bought the SanDisk. Very happy with my decision.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Interesting question. Why would you ask others to do what you could easily do yourself? Check all the big shopping sites and read as much as you can about the products you are interested in and you can also read literally hundreds of reviews. You can also go to the manufacture's site and get the full specs and compare the differences. It's really not hard at all.
