This upgrade is for a half height card and has 2gb. So for me it makes my 4K monitor clearer and faster and I use it to hook up two idential monitors in two different locations. Also, its difficult to find half height cards anyway but this one worked for me and I did replace it from a 1gb card of a different manufacturer. It satisfied my needs for better resolutiona and faster. I hope this helps but I am no expert.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I replaced a GT-220 card with the GT-1030. The improvement between the two was noticeable, but not dramatic. Not being a serious gamer, that was OK of an upgrade. The difference between a 520 and a 1030 would be less noticeable.
