Q: QuestionIs the chest strap submersible? Does the app allow you to input food dataI understand the watch is water resistant up to 98 feet but how about the chest strap itself? Can it go in the water and if so, will it calculate your heart rate and activity such as swimming or water aerobics? Does the app connect to MyFitnessPal? Does the app have a food journal?

• A:Answer Yes, the chest strap can indeed be submerged. You are more than welcome to use it in an activity such as water aerobics. As for the app, while Polar's 'Flow' application does not have a food journal, it does connect (for iPhone users) to MyFitnessPal. - Mike @ Polar USA

Q: QuestionSo, is the heart rate monitor a wrist or chest thing? You DO have to buy the heartrate monitor separately, correct? It isn't BUILT into the watch? I can't figure out if it is a wrist band or a chest thing. Is it uncomfortable to wear on the chest?

• A:Answer The A300 requires a chest strap for it to record heart rate data. Best Buy offers 2 versions of the A300, one sold with that chest sensor and another without. As for how it feels while wearing it, the strap itself is a soft fabric that contours to the body, making it comfortable to wear while exercising with the product - Mike@PolarUSA

• A:Answer Thank gawd, no. What you want displayed is displayed at all times. I HATED having to tap my "watch" for the time. Or turning my wrist, which worked about 10% of the time. Never again. I have a fitness tracker that is USEFUL as a watch as well!!
