• No it does not. The chest strap that works via Bluetooth cannot be worn in the water.

• Yes, you can wear the chest strap while swimming. t should give you the same data as if you were working out on land.

• No. I have to use my old are polar watch and heart rate monitor. Bluetooth heart rate monitors do not work underwater. I had a Garmin Bluetooth heart rate monitor before this and that didn't work underwater either. :( I have a pool and this was aggravating because then my swimming doesn't show up on my activities. But I can still track it with my other watch and heart rate monitor. Everything everything else about this watch was so awesome I just got it anyway. Purchase the warranty from Best Buy it's worth the money.
