• I have no idea if this is normal but I have noticed this as well so I try not to use it for too long

• Hello Mikey, because of the high lumens, the batteries can get warm to the touch, but it should not get too hot that you can't touch it! If that is the case, then we would need to have our on-site engineers to inspect it to see if there is a manufacturing defect.
