There was a hack listed on another large online retailer’s site, haven’t tried it myself, but here is what they had. UPDATE : Found a hack to disable the auto-shutoff. Press POWER button and VOLUME DOWN buttons on soundbar (not remote) simultaneously for 10 seconds. This seems to have disabled the auto shutoff for 4 hours, based on my initial test. The soundbar went to standby after 4 hours. This may be tolerable, but I'll continue testing.”
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Seriously, who is the idiot engineer who thought this was a good idea to set by default!?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wish I had listened to all the reviews saying this happens. It’s ridiculously annoying!! Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As another person here wrote: "Press POWER button and VOLUME DOWN buttons on soundbar (not remote) simultaneously for 10 seconds. This seems to have disabled the auto shutoff for 4 hours" BUT This only seems to be a one-time change. Sure, the timer extends to 4 hours after doing this, but once the speaker bar powers off, when it comes back on the next time it will be back to the 15 minute timer. For me this is not a workable solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem with my new JBL soundbar 300. After checking on line I was able to solve the problem by resetting the sound bar by pressing the source, Volume plus and minus buttons for 10 seconds simultaneously. Hope it helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.smiliar here it times out.seems to be part of their system.pretty dumb imo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you're using it on a pc there are both windows and linux programs for running a low frequency sound every x amount of minutes, low enough that we can't hear it. At all. But enough to keep the soundbar alive. You can download a .wav-file from here and make a simple .bat script to run it in Windows, or use the script as is if you're on linux.. https://github.com/dahlo/soundbar_keepalive
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just use the optical connection from TV to Sound bar and turn the TV sound down to zero. Done deal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went to source menu on my tv, found the HDMI output labeled for the soundbar, hit ok. I then went back to my video and rewound the current song. I then backed out and chose a new song and the soundbar stayed on. This seems to have fixed the issue of the soundbar turning off randomly. Hope this helps someone!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The way i got it to stop doing that is to go into the TV's sound settings and change the response time from 40ms to 20ms.If you don't have that option in your TV your out of luck.
