These speakers need to be driven by a receiver: 2 channel, 5.1, 7.1. If you already have a subwoofer and are using these for a home theater then 5.1 or 7.1. If you want these for music, a simple 2 channel receiver of moderate strength will make these sing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I advise buying a different POLK speaker line. These are cheap & are not a good speaker. POLK makes better speakers for the same price & Best Buy sells them too. To answer your power question? Yamaha makes the best entry level AV Receivers for under $200 that offer amplification for 5 speakers & has the .1 pre out for your powered subwoofer. I take it you're thinking on using your soundbar as your center speaker? Any Polk bookshelf speaker model will compliment your setup. But, Polk does sell 3 piece speaker sets for home theater beginners. They sound good too. Also, they.d go great with your subwoofer. Most soundbar owner graduate to the setup I just mentioned & retire the soundbar to the bedroom TV. An entry level Yamaha surround sound Receiver mated with your Polk subwoofer & the 3 piece front speaker set I mentioned will rock! You can always add rear surround speakers later. ~ peace
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All you need is a A/V reciever with 5.1 channels to connect the two tower speakers, your center channel and the subwoofer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These speakers only require about 100 watts at high volume. I have a Sony 7.1 receiver and with a polk audio center speaker and two of these tower speakers I'm barely pulling 65 watts with a movie with the volume at 25 and bass all the way up. If your looking for a good replacement for your sound bar I'd go with a Sony receiver and the polk t50 tower speakers with a polk t30 center speaker not exesively expensive and very clear very worth every penny.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a subwoofer with internal power supply and external connection for additional speakers. And I connect my tower speakers(2 of them) to my subwoofer. Otherwise, connect your tower speakers to your receiver.
