No, one set must face away and one set will face towards you. There is a diagram on the charger itself for your reference.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The joy con pairs attach facing opposite directions. And i wouldn't recommend trying to use them on the dock since the usb cord isn't very long and you would look quite silly trying to do so.
