If you are asking if you need to turn food over while it is cooking, some foods recommend shaking half way through and others do not, it will depend on what you are making.

Please try again later.Food that is thick, like chicken breast or whole chicken, pork loin, London broil, and possibly a thick steak, will generally need turning over to cook well, as an air fryer still cooks the top first. Otherwise, you will get one side overcooked and the other fine, or undercooked.

Please try again later.Because the insert piece is slotted and sits about 2 inches above the bottom of the basket, air freely circulates around the food -- I haven't turned anything over yet, including chicken pieces, fish sticks, mozzarella sticks, breaded shrimp, onion rings -- no need to stop halfway to turn. The food is better than any restaurant, no exaggeration.
