Great question! Since this machine uses magnetic resistance, the “pounds” are not calculable with the sensors on the machine so we instead measure the workout intensity differently. This measurement can be difficult to explain.
The amount of force on a magnetic resistance based system can also change slightly based on use to some extent. The faster you pull, the more force is generated. This also complicates the calculations of force/tension.
