• Just a few drops. I would maybe look at other options because the little tray is little and purchaser is advised repeatedly ------> DO NOT PUT OIL IN TANK

• You can use any brand of essential oils. If it says use with a diffuser, it is also fine to use with our humidifiers as the oil goes on an oil pad and not directly in the unit. It is recommended to use about 5-8 drops of oil on the pad. You can put less or more if needed.
