“My refrigerator does not have a water dispenser on the door just an ice maker in the freezer. I replaced the filter with the ultrawf filter but it says to run water for 3 min. How would I do that w/o the water dispenser feature? Do I need to flush filter?”

Hello, Fridgefilter. I understand your concern regarding priming the filter. I will be more than happy to assist. It is recommended to throw out the first 2 trays of ice made from the new filter. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Let it completely fill the ice tray, dump those out, and start using the ice after that. It should not take a week to have ice again after a filter change. Two weeks without ice per year (6 mo filter life) That's silly. If you are paranoid, do it twice. That would still only be about four days. Speaking of filter life, I would expect you to get twice the filter life as a unit with water and ice in the door. Happy ice making.
