• A:Answer the both unit had the same specs but the difference of the PP555 it has a quarter inch output and the 9v battery support.

Q: QuestionI have a Rega high end turntable. It needs a pre-amp I guess. With vinyl on if I turn reciever wide open I can just hear it. Will any of the Pyle pre amps fix this???

Q: QuestionI have a Yamaha RX-770 receiver with a phono input capability. Do I need a Pre-amp when using an Audio Technica ATLP140PBK turntable to connect to my Yamaha? I am looking to use an AT85EP cartridge as well.

• A:Answer It is a Pre-Amp for AV receivers that do not have a Pre-Amp built in to it. I do not know if it is switchable because it was incompatible with my equipment, so I returned it.
