yes. all MP3 tracks can be played from any USB Thumb drive or flash drive.

Yes. It does not have a shuffle feature however, so I suggest using small GB size flash drives for each album, or audio book, or whatever you listen to. Other wise, it just takes way too long to find it. I bought a bulk of 20 on ebay to get me started. BTY, it will not play over 34 GB size flash drive.
