  • QuestionWhat is induction compatible? What is the best way to clean a non stick surface?

    Asked by Coating.

    • Answer Thank you for your inquiry. Induction-ready cookware, also known as induction-compatible cookware, means the items can be used on induction cooktops. Magnetism, rather than direct heat, is what makes the pots and pans heat up on an induction cooktop, so any cookware that is responsive to magnetism, such as steel or iron pots, is induction-ready. To properly clean your pans, use a mild dishwashing detergent, warm water and a soft nylon brush or nylon scrub pad. If food remains on the non-stick surface, boil a mixture of three parts water and one part vinegar in your pan on medium heat for 5-10 minutes to dislodge food particles. Let it stand until cooled, then wash with warm, soapy water and a soft nylon brush, rinse and dry. You can also rub a paste of baking soda and water using a nylon pad and let it sit for up to 30 minutes, then wash, rinse and towel dry. We are available to further discuss other cleaning methods if you would like.
