5 x's 2.4 = 12 watts / 2 ports = 6 watts per outlet. Times probably about a 65% efficiency factor = about 3.9 watts per outlet if the manufacturer isn't telling any fibs. Retired EE. Yes chargers are rated in watts.

Please try again later.Chargers aren't rated by "watts," the output is always rated by volts - in this case 5VDC - and amps - in this case 2.4 Amps total (between the two ports). Since there is a single AC receptacle on this unit, the power receptacle is rated at 110-240 Volts AC, 50-60 hz, 10 amps, input & output. You would have to look and see how much power your laptop needs.
