The primary difference is the type of switch used for the keys. This uses the "Razer Green" mechanical switch, which is actually a version of Blue made by Greetech and re-branded by Razer. It has a slightly shorter actuation distance and total travel distance compared to the original Cherry MX Blue switch, which makes it slightly more responsive and better feeling, imo. The Ornata keyboards use an interesting switch type that is a combination of membrane dome and scissor. It's essentially a switch that provides a feeling similar to a mechanical switch while being far less expensive to produce. Personally, I like the feeling of a real mechanical switch better, but you may find the feel of the Ornata switch to suit you just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ornata is membrane switches. BW is full mechanical. Membrane switches have roughly half the lifespan
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ornata croma has mecha-membraine switches wheras the blackwidow has mechanical switches. The ornata chroma also has full rgb lighting. The blackwidow ultimate has custom lighting features but only in the green color.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This keyboard (Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016) is mechanical, and only has green backlighting. The Ornata Chroma is RGB - so you can select colors or have a rainbow. Also, the Ornata Chroma features Razer's new mecha-membrane keys. It is a combination of membrane technology with a mechanical style feedback. I don't know that you can classify the Ornata Chroma as true mechanical.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ornata is tactile key so keys feel mushy and quieter than blackwidow which has louder clicky mechanical type keys.
