The specific model is a "Clicky Switch," which produces an audible sound when you press a key, as well as a faint timbre of metallic echo as you execute consecutive keystrokes. I wouldn't describe it as "loud" per se (personally, I find the noise quite pleasing), but it is definitely audible, so if you are in an environment where silence is necessary, consider a different model...
