• The software is for 7.1 surround sound and is optional but I highly recommend it. It has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack so you can plug it into anything that has that.

• You don’t need to download any software. Just plug it in and use. It does come with a surround sound software you can download if you want for PC but not required.
