Hdmi, Is the best way to connect to a TV for HD resolutions. The Yellow (video out), is only for picture to see on TV's that has the Video-In port, but no HDMI connection. The Red&white port (Audio-IN) is to allow sound coming from devices into the system to listen through the speakers. But, the external devices must have a red&white port, this an AUDIO-OUT. That is, sound will be able to go out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI handles both audio/video in one cable, and offers the best sound and picture. Place one end of cable into hdmi out of your device ie...DVD, game system, and the other end of cable into the tv hdmi input. Rca is (3) cables Red/White for audio, Yellow for video. Match the colors to the back of devices. Sound and video are subpar compared to HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.RCA cables are the red/white/yellow. Yellow is video and red/white and audio. These are the second most basic form of A/V cables behind the single TV cable. The next best in my opinion is the Component Video cables - which has 5 wires. Two for sound - red and white and 3 for video - red, green and blue. HDMI and Optical cables are the best in my opinion. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, RCA cables are the Red/White/Yellow cables. You will get a much better picture and sound transfer with a HDMI cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI is audio and video. The better the HDMI cable, the better the connection an transfer. YES IT DOES MATTER. Don't let people tell you that all HDMI cables are the same. RCA cables are the red, white, and yellow. There are also HD component cables which are the same as HDMI just in a different plug format. So RCA cables would be the worst connection for video and audio that you could use. That is very old school, but if its all you have, I understand.
