A:AnswerNo, you just put in the DVD and it starts to play. But when you eject the DVD you have to change the input/source back to TV or cable.
The other problem with this TV (and all TV's as I have experienced) is that the menus are VERY small and VERY difficult to read. I do not understand why manufacturers make this mistake because the screens are so large.
A:AnswerGood question. I have the tv sitting on a dresser but if it was mounted flat on a fixed bracket it would be difficult to access. The dvd player is back about 8" from the edge of the screen.
A:AnswerHello -
There are no batteries in the DVD player. It is powered by the TV itself. So as long as you have the TV plugged in, you will have infinite play time from the built-in DVD player.
Thank you
A:AnswerYes. It only comes with the stand though, so you would have to buy a wall mounting kit separately. But the TV is very light and able to be mounted on the wall.
