“NP-BN and NP-BN1 batteries interchangeable? I have the same problem as the previous question. My older Sony Cybershot (16.1 megapixel, 5x zoom) (no other info on camera) needs a new battery. It came with NP-BN. I can only find NP-BN1. Will these work? Also, if my daughter wants to use my NP-BN battery in her newer Cybershot that came with a NP-BN1, will it work?”

Generally speaking, if your camera was supplied with an NP-BN battery, the NP-BN1 should be able to work with your camera. However your daughter's camera which came with NP-BN1 won't work with NP-BN, as its not backward compatible. It would be best as well if we have the model of both cameras to check which battery models are compatible.
