If you buy the game physically for the ps5, you'll already have the game on ps5 and won't be eligible to have the ps4 version. If you buy the game digitally on psn, you'll have rights to both the ps4 and ps5 version. If you buy the game physically for the ps4, then you'll be eligible to the ps5 free upgrade. So you should be able to play the ps4 version, using your ps4 disc, as well as the ps5 version while using the ps4 disc. So if you plan on playing on both Ps4 and Ps5, I recommend buying the ps4 version physically. Or just buy the ps5 version and only play on ps5. I hope this answers your question.

Please try again later.No with physical ps5 games you will only get the ps5 version. if you buy ps4 version, this game comes with ps5 upgrade. if you want digital it comes with both as well so the ps5 disc is at a disadvantage. with most ps5 ps4 cross gen games the ps4 will give you a ps5 upgrade with it and sometimes for cheaper.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Digitally on the PlayStation store, the PS4 and PS5 versions sell as one. Technically, either disc gets you access to both versions. Thing is, it's a PS5 disc, so it's not going to play in a PS4 (that's what the PS4 disc is for). Discs can go backwards but not forwards, and you need the disc to be in the console to ever play the game. I suppose technically you'll be able to use the PS5 disc in a PS5 to install the PS4 version, but there's literally no reason to do that.
