Battery has indicator lights - you must take the battery out of the device and use c-type charge cable and then re-install battery back in device every time you charge this model of doorbell. BUt you can also buy the solar charger by Ring or the small transformer and wire by RIng. This model will not power up from existing 12v-24v doorbell system.
