- Answer While you could mount it in a Window Sill to view out the window, I don't think you will like the low light results. During the day it will work no problem, low light or at night, you will get reflections from the interior lighting of your home and the glass. I have on of my indoor setup that way right now. I have attached a couple of photos you can see its pretty useless at night.

- Answer You can set it up on the Rng app to either detect or not detect when an object is in its field of view. At the same time, you can also receive notifications of this.

- Answer No, but I highly recommend it especially if you have multiple cameras and the Ring Alarm System. It’ll come with a free 30 day trial. A lot of motion alerts won’t show what tiggers the alarm because they move by the time you open the App, but the cloud based recording will show it on replay which is only available with subscription.

- Answer Looks like it's 6 feet long. If you need longer I'd recommend either and extension cord, or maybe you could get away with a USB extension cord. Not sure how long you can extend a power-only USB cable however. I would think at least 10 more feet or more.

- Answer It will only alert you if there is motion. If there is sound, you won't gets notification. If there is motion and sound, then you will get a notification.

- Answer If the power goes off you will also lose Wi-Fi, Internet, and the camera. The camera will not work without a Wi-Fi Internet connection. So having a battery back up on the camera is irrelevant!

- Answer Yes, you can change the settings to the "People Only Mode" or you can change the motion sensitivity to 'trigger' an alert. You can also set a specific area within the entire camera's field of view.

- Answer The camera can be rotated and mounted from the bottom or the side by simply moving the bottom plate. However it cannot be rotated remotely it needs to be positioned manually. The angle of view is very wide and we can see an area over 20 feet wide and 50 feet long in our condo.
