“Does the ring system have local storage? In the event of a power outage the battery packs will keep the system running but what about the wifi being out, does it have the ability to store event footage without a wifi connection?”

Ring Protect Pro offers all the benefits of the Basic and Plus plans and includes special features for Ring Alarm and Ring Alarm Pro, including Alarm Cellular Backup and 24/7 Backup Internet with 3 GB of included data per month. Your Ring Alarm Pro has the capability of processing your videos right on your device and storing them on a MicroSD card inserted into the Ring Alarm Pro. To use this feature, you'll need a MicroSD card, a Ring Protect Pro Plan, and a Ring Alarm Pro Base Station. Visit our support center for additional details. The Ring Alarm Pro has a micro-SD slot and with the proper subscription can store video from your cameras to the local storage before sending it to your Ring subscription with a caveat. Only devices connected to the Ring Alarm Pro base station will store to the micro-SD so if you are extending with the eero mesh the devices connected to the extenders might not save to the local storage.
