Reply to Ring: Thanks for the quick reply, but does not exactly answer my question. The ring.com site (and BB and Amazon) all offer a refurbed Ring Pro doorbell at a reduced price. They all say 1-year warranty. Your reply says the ORIGINAL date of purchase which is confusing....original when it was NEW or original even when purchased as a refurb? Since I do already have Ring Protect Plus on my account for the past couple years, adding this new-to-me REFURB Ring Pro doorbell should still qualify for the extended coverage as long as I maintain the Ring Protect Plus plan. Correct? Thank you.

Per the Ring Protect Policy (which can be found directly on our Help Center here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021900312-Ring-Protect-Plus-Information) it states that for extended warranty coverage to apply to your Ring device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to Ring Protect Plus. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription. Non-Ring and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty. I hope this answers your question, and I would like to offer our direct assistance on any other questions or concerns you may have! https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Get-in-Touch Thank you, Caitlin with Ring
