You should select an installation location within 13 feet of your floodlight that can get direct sunlight. If installing on a masonry surface, first drill holes using a 3/16" drill bit. - Answer Hello, Ed. Thank you for reaching out regarding the light schedule for your Ring Solar Floodlight. To answer your question, yes. The Ring app has a schedule feature that will have the lights glow softly when the sun goes down and turn off when it comes back up. The schedule can also be set to turn the lights on and off at other times. - Answer The answer you were given was wrong. It DOES come with a Ring battery. I just got mine today and there was a fresh battery in the packsge. Why someone would say it doesnt is beyond me.
