Garage doors (metal ones at least, seem to deal this device fits with regards to wifi signal.

You can set it to notify you of motion or you can set it to only record without notification. You can then look through the events at your leisure. It works great. It can run off an internal battery that charges via micro-USB or it comes with a cable so you can plug it into a wall outlet. You just have to supply the USB charger that plugs into the outlet. Ring will provide the micro-USB to USB cable.
