• I would not try it at 90 degrees from the approach to your door. You'd miss most people approaching because the camera isn't 180 degrees of coverage.

• The camera has a very wide viewing angle. So, should be no problem seeing.

• Not sure if Best Buy carries it, but the Ring doorbell website sells a wedge kit, which allows you to install it at an angle. It was pretty easy to install even with the wedge kit.
