I’m not an expert, but I believe if you install it just on battery, it will not ring in your house, just on your phone. Ours is hard-wired to our doorbell so it rings inside if someone actually pushes the button. We have several friends that use theirs with just the battery and are very happy with it. Good luck!

Once mounted connect to your Wi-Fi and set up your ring account. The ring doorbell 2 and Pro have the option to hard wire it to your existing doorbell. I purchased the chime with wifi extender due to my doorbell not working but not necessary. You will get alerts to your phone. I highly recommend the ring doorbell! Great way to monitor the activity at your home and keep your family safe!
