Just get the battery operated doorbell 2 and install yourself You can keep your other doorbell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a hardwired installation or you can do wireless. Trust me hardwired is better you never run out of battery
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ring doorbell replaces the physical doorbell outside. However, it does use the existing wiring to ring the chime already installed with your current doorbell. So your doorbell button will be replaced, but use your current chime. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use both of your doorbells: your current and the new Ring Doorbell2. However, if you want to save the battery life of the Ring Doorbell, take off your old doorbell and connect it to the existing doorbell wiring OR you can install (with screws supplied) the Ring doorbell in a different location by your door and it will operate on the battery that comes with the Ring. I chose to remove my old doorbell and connect the wiring and install in the existing spot of my old bell button. I also purchased a Ring Door Chime to plug into an electrical outlet in my bedroom so I will be sure and hear if I have any motion outside my front door. Hope this helps. Ring Doorbell2 is the only one that has the options of either using the battery or connect to existing wiring.
