I installed my Ring Doorbell 2 where there was no doorbell. It does not require hardwiring since it uses a rechargeable battery that lasts for 6 months to a year. I also use the spotlight cam over my garage. Same thing—not hardwired because of the rechargeable battery. Super easy to install Ring has videos that take you step by step and you can call them if you have any questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is totally self contained. You can mount it and then it will ring to your phone, Amazon Alexa or you can purchase plug in door chimes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need an existing door bell in order to install the RING, this definitely can be your first door bell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently installed a new solid wood front door and did not want to drill a peek-hole so, I purchased a wall mounting case for an iPad which I attached near the front door. When the doorbell rings I can see who is there before I open the door for added security without needing to open my phone. I think this is a more financially reasonable option than purchasing and installing an intercom system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This camera/doorbell has a battery in it. It actually lasts pretty long and depends on how often it gets used. You can install it just about anywhere you have a strong Wi-Fi connection, no existing doorbell needed.
