Hello RH, If you are not hardwiring this device to your existing doorbell wiring and home's chime kit there are a couple of options for audio notifications. One option is using a Ring Chime: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/204647994-Ring-Chime-Information. The other option is using Alexa devices: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003247146-Integrating-Amazon-Alexa-supported-Devices-with-Ring-Devices. For any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/. Thank you, Alexis with Ring

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well it depends on the type of Alexa you purchased. Whatever the case may be there is a small booklet included with each device that will give you the basic setup. For all of the devices you can go to YouTube and look up a video that will show you the easiest way to do it. We have both an echo and chime in our home. It took a few tries to get it to complete the installation, but it's not too difficult. Once you plug in your Alexa device follow step by step the instruction you are given period please make sure to have a YouTube walk through of it available on another device close on hand.
