The Ring Video Doorbell Elite is a POE(Power over Ethernet) doorbell. Power over Ethernet gives you the most reliable connection in smart home security, allowing you to stay online, maintain power, and get the highest quality HD video and audio right at your fingertips. The Ring Video Doorbell Elite is compatible with most AC-powered bells operating between 8-24 volts. The Ring Video Doorbell Elite is not compatible with wireless bells or any bell/intercom system using a DC transformer.
