• You will need a battery operated model or would need to be able to install a transformer to provide power to the unit(assuming that you have AC power access) If you wish to have a ‘doorbell ring’ outside of the app(I.e. a stand-alone device inside the home that ‘rings’ with the push of the doorbell button)- I would suggest using a Ring Chime Pro device along with the Ring doorbell. Note that the Ring Pro doesn’t have a battery compartment. However, the Ring doorbell 2 does have a battery compartment.

• This model only works if you have an existing doorbell. You need to investigate if Ring makes a wireless model.
