Hi Rebecca! As an owner of Ring doorbells for the past 4-5 years, I can tell you that Ring Doorbells need two things to work; and that’s power and an internet connection. Some, like the Ring 2 and Ring Peephole have a battery, others like the Pro that I currently have need to be wired to your doorbell system for power. After that, you need an internet connection. If your car has an always on internet connection, you possibly could make a battery operated Ring functional, but how would you position it? I’m thinking something else like a car security system might fit the bill. But I’ll leave the rest to you! Hope this helps some!
